Groovin’ into Spooky Season

Can you believe it’s October already? I feel like I blinked, and summer snuck right past me! I hope you had a fabulous summer and autumn. Our autumn has been mild and beautiful, which is nice, but I’m ready for the rain, crisp mornings, and spooky times!

Last weekend I got a bee in my bonnet and harvested 16-17 pounds of grapes from our ancient concord grape vine. My goal is to make grape jelly like my grandmother used to. If you’re curious, you can check out my YouTube channel to see if I succeed or fail. I do a quick vid there every Monday, talking about writing, knitting, and exciting life stuff (like jelly!) Monday Monk #36 is where the jelly adventure begins.

LATEST RELEASE: Brute of All Evil, book #9 in the Ordinary Magic books has been out for a few months now. Will there be another Ordinary book? Well, I do think there are more stories to explore in the wonderfully weird little coastal town. But first, I need to give some love to a couple series that have been waiting for new books for AGES!

CURRENT PROJECT: I am finishing the first draft of WAYWARD SKY, book #3 in the Souls of the Road series. It’s taken longer to write than I’d planned, but the book will be out this year for sure. Next I’ll work on THORN, book #3 in West Hell Magic series because it’s time for some hockey and magic, baybee!!! After that…well, I can’t say yet, but I have a couple fun little surprises up my sleeve.

NEWSLETTER: If you haven’t signed up, now is a great time! Each month, I pull a subscriber’s name and give away a toy I’ve hand knit. In case you missed it, here are the two most recent toys I gave away: Little Bookworm and Chet the Groundhog:

Pretty cute, right?

I’m going to try to be a little more regular on updates here, so I hope you’ll check back again soon! Until next time–happy reading!
