Time for an Update

It’s been a crazy ol’ year! I had big plans, people. BIG plans. And, well…2020 has been all kinds of challenging, so those big plans have changed a bit. But now that things are finally rolling along, I can give some updates.

BOOKS

HELL’S SPELLS, book 6 in the Ordinary Magic series will be out early October! Yay! I know I am unforgivably late on this release, but frankly, I’m just so very happy to say: it’s coming out! You’ll get to read it soon! There is NO PREORDER for this book, but I will link to it as soon as it’s live.

THORN, book 3 in the West Hells Magic (hockey) series will be out in 2021. This book is not written yet, so there’s a ways to go before it will be ready.

SEALED WITH A TRYST and AT DEATH’S DOOR, an Ordinary novella and short story set after Hell’s Spells, will be out January 12, 2021 in the Dirty Deeds anthology. The preorder link is here: preorder.

Look at the amazing writers in that collection! Oh, and did I mention the short story is from Death’s point of view?

Good News

I am on track to release three books in a new series before the end of 2020. That’s all I’ll say at the moment, other than it is a new urban fantasy series, and I’m sort of (totally) in love with it. I hope that means you might love it too, if you decide to give it a try. More on that project very soon!

Life and Whatnot

We didn’t put in a big garden this year. Just a few tomato plants and wildflowers. The bees adore the wildflowers, and we’re loving the tomatoes, so: win!

We did finish our basement remodel, turning it into its own apartment. We did almost all of it on our own (new electric hired out to the experts, same with concrete cutting for windows, window installation and cabinets). From first shovel to final paint, it took hubby and I (and a few wonderful family members) a full year. I’m happy to say it turned out pretty spectacular for an old house, and we couldn’t be more (sore or) pleased.

The wildfires currently burning in our area seem to have been slowed by improved weather conditions, though the air this week has been at the top of the chart ranking “hazardous” where we live. Right now, our fingers are crossed for rain and west winds, which the weather prognosticators say are on the way. Finally!

Wishing you good weather, good health, and good reading!
