Getting My Read On

Do you know what’s out today?  This!

Audrey Callahan left behind her life in the Edge, and she’s determined to stay on the straight and narrow. But when her brother gets into hot water, the former thief takes on one last heist and finds herself matching wits with a jack of all trades…

Kaldar Mar-a gambler, lawyer, thief, and spy-expects his latest assignment tracking down a stolen item to be a piece of cake, until Audrey shows up. But when the item falls into the hands of a lethal criminal, Kaldar realizes that in order to finish the job, he’s going to need Audrey’s help…

Sounds great, right?  I am totally stopping by ye ol’ bookshoppe to pick myself up a copy today.

How about you?  What are you reading?

As soon as I finish Zane’s Tale: A Succubus Diaries Short by Jill Myles I’ll be starting FATE’S EDGE.

I just got a Kindle earlier this month (I’ve run out of space for physical books in our tiny apartment) and I pre-ordered FATE’S EDGE which was delivered to my Kindle in the wee hours of the morning today. I’m very excited.

I never thought I’d get into the e-reader thing at all but I find I’m really liking it so far.

Sadly it’s not available for the Kindle in the UK…but seeing as it’s Ilona Andrews I might just have to break that no-more-‘real’-books promise I made to my hubby when he bought me my Kindle.

    One more can’t hurt right??

    Oh this book!

I’m from Germany and I’ve stayed up extra long so I’d be able to read it sooner than the rest of the world. Heh.

So, it’s 11:59pm, I turn my Kindle’s wireless on and wait.. wait some more.. wait more, tweet like a lunatic, go to the Amazon page. Figures it wasn’t available yet. So, completely frustrated I went to bed. Told a friend today and she said that when she looked, 00:45 am!!!, it was available.

But I finished it two hours ago or something and luuurved it. I’m also going to marry George. Yes, he’s a bit young, but it’s only four years and I really think we’re meant to be.. Or maybe, you know, I’ll just drug him/get him drunk, get his baby and guilt-trip him into staying with me, but you know, whatever.

    Hehe.

Did you read it already? If so, what did you think?

    All my best,
    Patricia

Squee! I was up most of the night reading this book. It was great! I totally loved it. Now it’s time to set my calendar for Magic Without Mercy…

The humor is incredible in this book. I’m also reading you, Angels of Darkness and going for a re-read of Faith Hunter’s series Skinwalker. I can’t wait to read Tin Swift.

    Squee! Fan for life.

Reading the Black London books by Caitlin Kittredge. Not an author on my ‘MUST read everything’ list yet, but getting there. 🙂 Also just started the YA Mortal Instruments series.

Just finished reading Magic on the Line actually! 🙂 Stayed up til 2am last night to finish it. (Read it in four hours after FINALLY prying it out of my husband’s hands!)

I just finished Kylie Chan’s first trilogy–starts with “White Tiger”. Very cool UF set in Hong Kong.

I finished Magic on the Line right after it came out.

I just finished The Dream by Maria Savva. Good book, a little different from what I usually read, but good. I would read it again. Now I’m holding off for Clockwork Prince by Clare Cassandra.
